This popular Teenick series on Nickelodeon is very unique. It is something that both tweens and parents can agree on as being worth watching. See why here.

There are not very many television series that both parents and tweens can agree are worth watching. However, Ned's Declassified School Survival Guide on Teenick (Nickelodeon) is one of them. It is about a group of friends (starring Devon Werkheiser, as Ned Bigby) who offer advice to kids in school in a way that is both hilarious and serious at the same time.

Each episode concentrates on a different subject matter that preteens and teens face in school, such as bullying, dating, and making new friends. The cast offers valuable information that viewers can actually take notes on while watching the program and apply in their own school life. At the same time, the cast is acting out these situations in a humorous way that kids find funny. It keeps the viewers attention.

An example of a show is about Ned and one of his best friends, Moze (played by Lindsey Shaw), who set out to help a pair of shy twins make friends and overcome their shyness. The twins have never been apart and are afraid to meet new people. Ned takes one of the twins and gives her some really good advice about how to interact with people and overcome her shyness, and Moze does the same with the other twin. While they get some pretty funny mixed results with the twins, they do manage to end up having new friends. At the same time, another main character, Cookie (played by Dan Curtis Lee) holds a seminar for the nerds of the school to teach them how to overcome their shyness. He uses some very off-the-wall scenarios that would never really happen in school, but still manages to drive home the point that making new friends and being assertive is not that difficult. This part of the show just makes viewers laugh at the crazy antics that Cookie performs.

The show has consistently gotten rave reviews from both kids and parents. There is never any offensive material shown, no foul language, and yet it still manages to make preteens and teens come back for more. The show times vary daily, so click here for the current times, which are EST.

This series is definitely a gem. Keep up the good work Nickelodeon!

Viewer reviews:

"...This show is pure genius. The sound effects. The visual effects. The characters. The suedo-realistic middleschool situations, that brilliantly relate to real life. The list virtually could go on and on..." (by Sitcommaster ~ January 29, 2007 - www.tv.com) (Adult review)

"this is excactly why i watch this hilarious show. i love it because there's so much to enjoy here. On the first Episode "social studies it starts out with cookie imagining a romantic date with lisa zemo and cookie acts his usual stud like way. which is absouloutly funny. And lets not forget about moze feeling left out because ned is spending too much time with susie. at the end ned tell susie that he's got to spend more time with moze so he gets clobbered for that."
